Groove With Me is a nonprofit free dance school for girls in Harlem. We constructed a new studio last year. Blake at Classic Sofa built 10 couches at little-to-no cost. They are gorgeous. I met Blake in his showroom many months ago. We talked about my vision for the waiting room and teachers' lounge. We picked a fabric that would weather 50+ children every afternoon for 10+ years. Ashley came to the studio to do some measurements. He shared his ideas and visions for the waiting room.
Even with the holidays around the corner, the couches arrived much quicker than I expected. Everyone is vying to steal the teachers' lounge couch.
The best part is that every time I thank Blake he says beautiful things about what we are doing for the community and how proud he is to be a part of the project. The warmth and sincerity that Blake & Ashley omit will be the favorite part of your project too.

The team at classic sofa are the absolute best. I had the opportunity to work with both Ashley and Blake on every aspect of our custom-made sofa. They listen to every detail, and worked with us every step of the way, even after looking at 50 different fabric samples To find the perfect shade of green . My favorite part of the process was having the opportunity to spend time in their Bronx facility to actually see how the products are made, and to do a sit test before we took delivery. If you are considering a custom product, I highly recommend that you reach out. After a lot of research to find a sofa with particular specs, we decided to have a sofa custom made. With a lot of positive reviews, we went with Classic Sofa. We've had our beautiful, custom made sofa for almost 2 years. Blake was a pleasure to work with. He's quick to respond, and eager to please. When we noticed there were feathers popping out, Blake had his team pick up the cushions, made some modifications, and redelivered the cushions complimentary. The sofa is very well made, we are so pleased. I highly recommend Classic sofa.

Once we figured out the details Blake sent me all the fabric swatches I needed to make a decision. He took care of every last detail and made corrections when needed. Classic Sofa was highly recommended to me by a good friend who had used him for years. I am so grateful for that recommendation. Blake and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with. He starts with a tour of the different work spaces (the framers, the stuffers, the sewers) which is very fun and interesting to see. He can make you anything you want and he is very helpful in areas of design and fabric choices (he has an endless supply!). My couch is the perfect addition to our new home - it's not only beautiful, it's the most comfortable couch I have ever sat on (loved the “sit” test - he wants it to be exactly right for the customer). To top it off, his turn around time is quick! Very, very highly recommended!

Classic Sofa of NYC is just that... CLASSIC! We purchased our first sofa from them in 1999 and only because we moved and it didn’t work in the new space did we give it away. We bought two sofas in 2017 for our living room and just received our sectional for the family room last week. We love everything about their sofas. Customer service, workmanship and quality are outstanding. The sofas are comfortable and are everything you imagine them to be. Blake was such a pleasure to work with. He took the time to drive 2.5 hrs to see the space and consult with us on how to best fill the our family room. He communicated with us on a regular basis while the work was being performed. He updated us with pictures and emails of our new piece. He invited us to a ‘sit-test’ before cutting the fabric to insure we were 100% happy with our size selection. He provided us with an endless supply of fabric samples via mail. He was part of the delivery team and followed up to check if we are happy with our choice.

I bought a sleeper-sofa from Classic Sofa in 1998, which I loved. After 25 years of use, and damage from cats and sun, I wanted to "renovate" it, and was thrilled to find that Classic Sofa was still in business, now under the expert ownership of Blake Anding. His team not only rebuilt and recovered my old sofa, but replaced the old uncomfortable sleeping system with a new one that uses slats instead of springs, and is much more comfortable. Blake and his group were a pleasure to work with and I'm so happy to have my beautiful "new" sofa back. I would recommend Classic Sofa with no reservations.
