I contacted CSM 3 weeks ago to get a quote for a small laser cutting job. I was asked to send over the files and was told that I would have a quote "very quickly". I assumed I would hear back that afternoon but heard nothing that day or the next. I finally called them back almost a week later and asked where my quote was and I was told that they didn't have my email and I should resend it. Despite the fact that the original email showed as being delivered on my end I sent the files again. NOTHING. Finally, after almost two full weeks, I called back and was told that Casey (who had been "(mis)handling" my quote) was in a meeting but that he said they "couldn't do it".

Now first of all, what I was asking for was a VERY simple job. It is a simple laser cut design on standard 18g material with the file provided in the exact format they asked for. I have done a lot of laser cutting and this is as basic as it gets and well within the services they advertise. Why they suddenly said "we can't do it" is beyond me and I can only assume it wasn't worth their time to do such a small order (even though they stated they would be happy to).

MUCH more importantly, when were they going to let me know? I have been waiting for the quote and my client has been waiting! The least they could do is get back to me rather than making me wait THREE weeks. RIDICULOUS!

I own a company who manufactures very high end audio gear and we do a lot of metal work. Our current metal shop only does large orders so I was hoping to have found a place to do short runs but I will NEVER give them my business.
