Owner David and his crew, Connor and Gregg, really came to our rescue last week. We are full time RVing and noticed a crack on the frame of our pride and joy vintage travel trailer. They took us in that very morning and repaired not one but both sides of our cracked frame. Their welding repairs and plating over top for additional support was done expertly. They were friendly, professional and efficient. Their facility lot was plenty big enough for us to park our trailer safely too. Their willingness to help us and fix our issue literally salvaged the rest of our 6 month RV trip! We would highly recommend them and their work and are so thankful to them.

I needed some custom mounting brackets so I could hang hose reels to my ladder rack. I was referred to Dave. I would have been happy with a square plate. You can clearly see he made me something better. I am happy to know who to call for custom metal fabrication.

Vulcan Ironworks built a custom baby/gate to match the iron hand rails on our stairway in our mountain home in Crested Butte. It looks beautiful, and keeps the dogs and babies off the stairs. We later had Dave build a custom screen for our big living room fireplace. It’s fits perfectly and matches or our modern farmhouse decor. We highly recommend Dave Smith and his crew at Vulcan Ironworks.

I was in need of a bumper modification and repair to my Travel Trailer while staying in Gunnison Co. I needed a thick walled 4" tube bumper modification to be able to mount a Cargo Carrier as well as the spare tire. Vulcan Ironworks in Gunnison Co. is an excellent, reasonably priced service when you need a small welding repair such as this to an RV. I dropped my Travel Trailer off around 9 AM, and they were finished by 2 PM. The cost of the modification was way less than I had anticipated. I highly recommend this business to anyone needing such.

Highly recommended!! Dave built custom kiosks for me based on some loose ideas from me. I was not exactly sure what I wanted and Dave took my input and created an amazing end product. Would definitely recommend and is my go to guy for future needs!
